The Brief

To create a traditional Japanese eating house with modern impressions. A new venue to cater for quick take-aways and sit down service for small and family groups.

The Solution

A practical and flexible space with defined seating zones by ceiling and bold architectural details. Mix use of raw and more finished materials create points of interest. Mix use of furniture to cater for small and larger groups. Bold use of colour. With an architectural focal point at the shop entry; from a slated swing door and stone bench table creates an open sense of space.
